Become an Engineer Campaign is the CalSOP student outreach program supported by CELSOC (Consulting Engineers and Land Surveyors of California) and Caltrans (California Department of Transportation) during Engineers' week 2008, scheduled for February 17-23.

Engineers week is dedicated to increasing understanding of and interest in engineering and technology careers among young students and promoting pre-college literacy in math and science.

Become an Engineer Campaign consists of:
1. A practicing Engineer visiting a school, classroom/assembly.
2. Approximately 15 minutes prepared powerpoint presentation, Become an Engineer
3. Student door prize - The Art of Construction
4. Teacher gift - book plus CELSOC video
5. Student gift - Bookmark identifying additional resources and internship opportunities.

We are inviting Bell High School to participate in "Become an Engineer" Campaign during Engineer Week 2008. Please contact   millie.calsop@marrscorp.com  to schedule one of our engineers to present the materials. Hopefully, the students will become stimulated and encouraged to consider investing their lives in public service through an engineer career.
